Introduction
Register now for the American Fighter Aces Association’s 63rd annual reunion. We are staying at the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside and returning to the home of the U.S. Navy, San Diego, California. Our reunion will be making its first return since September 2012 our last convention there where we stayed at the Town and Country Resort in North San Diego. We have had six total reunions in San Diego with our first one there in August of 1971. Its always been a ton of fun and this year will be no different.

History
A little bit of history, the 25th AFAA Reunion and our 4th at San Diego was a blockbuster as it also celebrated “The Salute General Jimmy Doolittle” televised all around the U.S. Additionally, our President Duke Cunningham, Tom Lanphier, Bob Barkey, Zeke Cormier, Hal Vita, and many Friends of the aces, were all part of the American Fighter Aces Association salute to General Jimmy Doolittle and our 25th AFAA reunion. These men put in a lot of work to put this event on and make it work flawlessly. Over 150 fighter aces attended the event with the support of Hollywood. Image the autographs we could get ! Famous Hollywood personalities such as Bob Hope, General Jimmy Stewart, Don Knots, Phyllis Diller, Rich Little, Jack Jones, Shirley Jones, Audrey Landers and others participated in the “Salute to General Jimmy Doolittle”. The salute was broadcast across 80% of the U.S. in August with the show taking place in June at NAS Miramar where Duke was stationed.
Our Event
The Holiday Inn Bayside is on the San Diego Harbor with all the yacht’s parked out in front on the with a beautiful view of the yachts and harbor docks; with small shops and restaurants all around. Our Hotel is less than a 1.5 miles from San Diego Lindberg Airport and our hotel provides free transportation from the airport. Also, the hotel is directly across from NAS North Island with the USS Midway museum docked just about 4 miles down the street.
