Lt. Colonel Francis S. Gabreski started flying Spitfires with the Polish Air Force. One of the P-47 Thunderbolts he flew to become the leading ace of the European Theater of Operations with 28 victories is shown on the right.
"Gabby" is credited with 6.5 aircraft destroyed in Korea, Making him a double ace.
